Carlos Skinfill is one of the finest drummers in contemporary jazz and worship style, skilled clinician, producer, composer, arranger and among the young group of jazz musicians today who continually create intricate smooth jazz compositions. Backed by an equally fine group of musicians on this collection, the sound of Carlos Skinfill on drums shines refreshing drink of cool contemporary jazz worship.
Born in Toluca,México in 1975, Carlos Skinfill was growing with a lot of music around. His mother who loved music and dance had hundreds of Long Play Discs and he began playing drums over music of The Beatles and Frank Sinatra before becoming a full-time musician.
Self-taught, he was a jazz devotee by age 12, which is when he started as professional drummer and keyboard player with a Garage Rock Band called
"Propiedad Privada" with The Salgado´s Bros. He learned how to play drums and skills from Hector Ordoñez "El Pistilo"
Then he was working with Enrique Campos (Pop and Ballad singer) for a while and popular singers of Musica Grupera making concerts and recordings with commercial music for radio stations with Jose Antonio y Los Sufridos
After building a respectable musical career in Mexico with several bands like Sax, Zodiac, Fly, Fantasia, Antara, Mandarina Show, Lider Show and Inside Out. He arrived in Miami Fl. USA in 1998 and soon signed on as endorser with MEINL Cymbals.
After he was signed for several companies as endorser like Calato Regal Tip MFG. AKG Microphones, Marantz Audio, Coreelo Drum Heads and Premier Drums to make drum clinics in Mexico promoting brands with success.
He was working as producer with some projects like the first drum clinic in Toluca,Mex. of "Dave Weckl". In Mexico City with Baby Lozano (Juan Gabriel Producer), C3 Rock Band and Carlos Sanchez Co-Producer and Guitarist in RAICES (The First Album of Carlos) as drummer, composer and producer.
Then Carlos founded "LA PROMESA" a Jazz Rock Band with Christian message and performing songs composed and arranged by himself, with Felipe Barragan (Guitar) and Carlos Aguirre (Bass). They made a TV Show for CLARAVISION transmited worldwide by cable.
Without left the Jazz Scene Carlos joined to Emmanuel Ortiz (Keyboard) and Carmen Fuerte (Sax ) to make the Jazz Trio called "Jazze" They were playing with an Acid Jazz Fusion Concept doing local concerts and drum clinics as well with success.
Carlos participated in the first International Drum Fest in Mexico City with drummers like: Pedro Galindo, Frank Colon, Hector Navarrete, Julio Figueroa, Derico Watson, Luis Conte, Doane Perry, Nicko McBrian and Alex Gonzalez.
Then Carlos moved to Playa del Carmen, Q.Roo Mexico that´s when he met YESHUA as the King and Savior after some bad times in his personal life.
After he met in the Church "Gio Ortega" Both of them moved to Canada and Carlos founded his own Record Label Skinfill Entertainment Records and the project called Gio & Skinfill they have so far two CD productions 7 DIAS and SAVE ME FROM MYSELF with Worship in a Jazz Pop and Funky style.
Once in Canada Carlos started a very interesting stage in his music career getting endorsements, learning music, arrangements and production skills with professional musicians from all the world. He was part of The Sheraton Cadwell Group & The Philips Westin Orchestra 30% of performance fees received from customers are donated to international agencies such as UNICEF, World Vision, Oxfam, CARE, Doctors Without Borders and the Red Cross through the Global Poverty Relief Foundation (www.gprf.net).
The primary mandate with them is to support the fundraising activities of major charities and humanitarian organizations dedicated to alleviating poverty in less developed communities outside Canada. Carlos has participated in several International Jazz Festivals as:
Beaches International Jazz Festival and Corso Italia Festival.
Carlos has so far six CD productions with songs composed and arranged by himself.

He is the producer and founder of Las Vegas Drum Camp 2010 and ISRAEL Drum Camp 2011.
He has performed in major TV Shows within U.S.A on NBC, Telemundo and Arauvision.
Carlos Skinfill has a very successful Youtube channel where he share the gospel of YESHUA and thousands of music tips and topics for drummers.
Carlos made an important DVD production Keep Drumming for Latin American musicians with Abraham Laboriel (Bass) Alex Acuña (Percussion) Emmanuel Ortiz (Piano) and Martin Kuwawi (Guitar).
He just released a new Blu-Ray & DVD called "Painting with Brushes"
